Hi, this is Dee Barizo. Welcome to another episode of Tubetorial.

In this episode, we’ll look at how to insert your tweets, or Twitter entries, on a WordPress blog. It’s pretty easy to do. You just have to know where to look.

First, log in to Twitter and then click Settings on the top right.

You should see a link at the middle of the page. The anchor text is “(You can also add Twitter to your site here)”. Click it. On the next page, click Other and then Continue.

Now, you have a choice between a flash widget or an HTML one. I’m going with the HTML widget because it looks better on my site. However, the process is still pretty much the same regardless of the widget you pick.

You can change the number of updates that show up. I’m gonna go with 10 updates. Then, copy the code and go to the section on your WordPress site where you want your tweets to show up.

I’ve created a static home page for my blog and that’s where I’ll put my tweets. So, I’ll just copy and paste. I’m changing the header tag from <h2> to <h3> because that tag looks better on my site. Also, I’m adding nofollow to the link pointing to my Twitter account.

Finally, to make sure your page loads even when Twitter is down, move the last two lines of the code to the footer. Those two lines start with this tag “<script”.
