It worked immediately – perhaps it depends on how powerful a system one has…….there must be a downside to this…otherwise it would be there by default

using it on a windows vista 64 bit and verizon DSL

The Mozilla knowledge base cautions that not all servers support pipelining, and so some websites might not work with this setting activated.

Also, setting the Maxrequests to a value greater than 8 actually results in the variable being set to its maximum value of 8.
