[...] I’ve only used one feed, Google Videos, in this example. If you want to search across multiple video feeds simultaneously, you probably want to use a method similar to the RSS Bargain Hunting Radar. I.e., don’t use the URL Builder. Instead, use merge the video RSS feeds together using the Fetch Feed module. You would need to use the Pipes Filter module and use the user-input search criteria on title, description, etc. The net result would be the same. In Yahoo Pipes, there are often many ways to produce the same results. I wanted to show how to use the URL Builder. [...]

[...] So I thought I’d take this one step further and show you how to use Yahoo Pipes to filter out unwanted listings. This tubetorial is very similar the one where we merged RSS feeds with Yahoo Pipes. We’ll merge the feeds for several “bargain” websites (listed below) together, then have a box where a search term can be entered. Yahoo Pipes will automatically generate a new merged RSS feed for any search term we enter, which can now be added to our feed reader. You can, of course, enter no term, to get a full listing.
[...] This tubetorial is a loose continuation of the last one, create a random photostream, which used Yahoo Pipes, Twitter and Flickr. You can either use the RSS feed from the Pipes random photostream, or choose any RSS feed that contains images, including one of the many “tag” feeds available at the Flickr site.
[...] Yahoo Pipes is versatile tool that you can use to manipulate RSS feeds in a variety of ways. Previously, we learned how to merge and sort two RSS feeds. This time, we’ll use Pipes’ “For Each: Replace” and “Content Analysis” modules to transform “random” text into images, to create a random photostream.
Hi Sharon, I actually have a "How to screencast a tutorial" in the works. However, to do a good job on it, I need to add some more advanced video features. I'm hoping to do this one a couple of months down the road.

I actually don't know if you can be "too geeky" on Tubetorial :) --seems like the audience is incredibly tech savvy, so your tutorials are the perfect fit! (And of course I say "geek" in the most positive, loving way :) ).

Not that you don't already have enough ideas in your queue, but if you're taking requests ;) , I would find a tutorial on "HowTo Make a Tubetorial" very valuable.

The kind of stuff I see you, Chris, and Brian doing over here with the combining the audio and the various screens illustrating what you're talking about, is something I'd like to be able to do on my own blog for teaching productivity, except I have no idea how to do it.

@Everyone: Please note that I have changed the URL of the Feedburner feed in use, for reasons I won't go into. As far as I can tell, this won't be an issue. But in case you've recently subscribed, please check your subscription with the new Feedbuner URL: http://feeds.feedburner.com/Tubetorial20

Sharon, thanks so much. I have to strike a balance between not too geeky and worthwhile, I guess. I'm working on the fancier pans, and adding some of my instrumental compositions - in a couple of months, anyway. I have a fairly wide range of tutorials in my queue. It's just a matter of putting them together.

Raj,

You've done an amazing job with this! This might be the most in depth post I've ever seen over here. It goes over my head completely :-), but I feel confident that if I ever needed to merge RSS feeds, that I could do it simply by following your detailed Tubetorial.

Looking forward to seeing more of your creations!

Cheers,
Sharon

Hi Jonathon, thanks for the compliments. I have more Yahoo Pipes tubetorials in the works, but I plan to interleave a variety of new series so that anyone that's not interested in one might find something in the others.
