Therapeasy is the eHarmony of Therapy

Christine Thai Way Therapeasy

Christine Thai Way of Therapeasy tells us how one can find a perfect therapist on its digital health platform.

Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded Therapeasy.

Christine Thai Way: I have a diverse professional background- leading projects and teams across investment operations, IT consulting, healthcare strategy, and digital health. Through it all, I identified that I had a strength in creating and executing strategies for complex, ambiguous ideas. In short, I love bringing ideas to life in order to solve tough problems. Founding Therapeasy.co totally aligned to that. Due to many personal challenges in finding a compatible therapist, I envisioned a platform that would quickly match people with their perfect therapist. Therapeasy aims to normalize and ease accessing mental health resources and aspires to improve therapy effectiveness through strong connections.

Do you have small habits that made a meaningful impact on your life and business?

Christine Thai Way: Yes, I am a huge planner-user! I have a habit of making to-do lists, maintaining monthly and weekly calendars, and tracking progress. I make it fun with colorful pens and stickers, so it never feels like a chore! The act of setting small, achievable goals has made a huge impact on keeping the momentum in my life and business.

How does Therapeasy market its product/services online?

Christine Thai Way: Therapeasy leverages social media marketing and email campaigns to promote awareness of our services. Attending virtual conferences and participating in podcasts and webinars have also been effective in growing our network and following.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to manage your online marketing?

Christine Thai Way: We use tools such as Hubspot, Trello, Later, and Canva to manage our online marketing.

What is your hiring policy/process, and how do you retain your employees?

Christine Thai Way: Therapeasy is a small founder-run company, so we have not done a lot of hiring. We have gotten to know candidates beyond their technical skills to better understand their personal motivation and passions when we hire them. We retain team members by preserving a strong connection with one another and supporting one another’s well-being.

How are you funding your growth?

Christine Thai Way: Therapeasy is 100% bootstrapped and funded by our three founders. As the company continues to grow and scale, we are beginning conversations with interested investors.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Christine Thai Way: Our competitors range from legacy directories to startups with similar models. Therapeasy is unique due to our matching algorithm that accounts for the critical factors in finding a compatible therapist. The software is easy to use and continues to get smarter through data, making it a valuable tool for provider groups in our B2B model.

Tell us a customer success story of yours.

Christine Thai Way: A group client that has recently implemented and licensed our matching software said that our software had streamlined their intake process, allowing patients to connect to a therapist faster. Therapeasy’s software has facilitated over 500 client matches for their provider group in less than a year!

Your final thoughts?

Christine Thai Way: Entrepreneurship can often be an isolating and challenging experience. I would like to encourage other entrepreneurs to take care of their mental health and well-being, whether that is taking some time off, starting a mindfulness practice, or seeking professional therapy.
