Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded MaIra Consult.

Irina Kucheriavaya: In 2011, my partner Marina and I worked in another legal company, and we came up with the idea of our own business. We had our own vision of providing legal services and knew for sure what we wanted in our lives. We dreamed about a united, professional, and friendly team where everyone is in his own place. And of course, we dreamed about our own office with a special atmosphere. In 2012 dreams came true!

Do you have small habits that made a meaningful impact on your life and business?

Irina Kucheriavaya: Yes, it is very important to start your working morning in the right way. Our team has a special “ritual” every morning – tasty coffee or tea and 15 minutes for planning a collective working day. Thereby, every team member knows exactly what to do for a successful day. And do not forget about time management!

How does MaIra Consult market its product/services online?

Irina Kucheriavaya: On our website, www.maira-consult.com, clients can find general information about our legal company and services. Our website is our own “marketplace” where the client can order an individual online consultation or meeting. And of course, the best advertisement is word of mouth from our clients. We are sure that good quality services are the best way to promote your services among existing and new clients. It ensures not only acquiring new customers but also retaining customers and growing a business and customers.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to manage your online marketing?

Irina Kucheriavaya: We have a PR manager who promotes our company MaIra Consult and website www.maira-consult.com with Google Adwords and social networks. Often we cooperate with online business resources and advertise our firm on different legal and business forums.

What is your hiring policy/process, and how do you retain your employees?

Irina Kucheriavaya: We are glad to see young lawyers on our team because it is more interesting for us to grow with the employees together. We do not require a big professional experience from the employee at the beginning. It is more important to be friendly, energetic, tolerant and flexible.

How are you funding your growth?

Irina Kucheriavaya: One of the basic principles of our work is to invest in our team. Previously, we attended many conferences and seminars. Due to the pandemic time, all professional education was online. Now we hope to participate in professional events, not online and meet new partners personally.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Irina Kucheriavaya: There are many competitors in our sphere. But our company stays in the game for 10 years. We have a strong reputation and value every client. We are trying to do our best to provide high-quality services.

Tell us a customer success story of yours.

Irina Kucheriavaya: The 10 years history of MaIra Consult is a history of success. We started our business from scratch, without staff, and in a small office. We were very young, but despite all difficulties on our way, we did not stop. For us, it was not only business but our life. After 10 years, nothing has changed. 

Your final thoughts?

Irina Kucheriavaya: When we see other people’s success, we do not realize the real way to reach it. We faced different difficulties during these 10 years, the Revolution in Ukraine, the pandemic of Covid-19, etc. Our thinking and vision of life were changed, but not our values. Even now, during the terrible war in Ukraine, our values are the same: be human and try to do your best.
