Laurentiu from Wiacom about Digital Bridges between Brick and Mortar Businesses and the Digital World

Wiacom

Laurenţiu Cenușă tells us how Wiacom is making a fast-growing presence in the market for WiFi marketing and WiFi analytics.

First of all, how are you and your family doing?

Laurenţiu Cenușă: I think we are pretty good considering the global situation we’re experiencing at the moment. It’s important to remain grounded and focused on your business and the things that only you, as a professional and community member, can do. Thank you for asking!

Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded Wiacom

Laurenţiu Cenușă: Well, I started my career as an entrepreneur in my first year of college, and since then, I have dedicated myself to the advertising agency founded in 2006. I am passionate about marketing, advertising, and technology, which becomes obvious whenever someone in a professional environment talks to me. I have also founded Wiacom in 2015, a company that uniquely combines digital marketing with IT. It all started with a PoC for a local restaurant, and in a few months, it turned into an entire business. The project itself had some ups and downs, but I managed it together with my business partner Eduard Dorin, co-founder of Wiacom and CTO, in order to continue innovating and developing the business in the direction we set out, but Marketing will always remain my top priority.

How does Wiacom market its product/services online?

Laurenţiu Cenușă: We have a variety of integrated marketing services that dictate our presence online, such as Market Positioning & Monitoring, Digital Advertising, Content Marketing, Influencer Marketing, and Performance Marketing. Google Ads, Facebook, TikTok, SEO Search Engine Optimization, E-commerce strategy for expansion, and even Branding & Creative outputs.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how did you get through it?

Laurenţiu Cenușă: To be fair, our business has not declined much during this period. We found ways to move forward. If I think about what contracts I had to sign at the beginning of the pandemic, I could say that our finances were affected by the fact that certain projects were postponed. But overall, we handled matters with caution and came out on top.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to manage your online marketing?

Laurenţiu Cenușă: We are currently using Monday, a cloud-based platform that allows users to create their own applications and help with work management. This platform has helped us ease our workflow and keep our clients in the loop with all our joint projects. It’s quite an efficient software that we employ for deadlines, coordination, and teamwork.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Laurenţiu Cenușă: Everyone working in marketing is a competitor, which doesn’t scare us. In fact, it helps us become better at what we do. Competitors inspire us to find new ways to advertise and connect with clients on a deeper, professional level.

Your final thoughts.

Laurenţiu Cenușă: We look forward to seeing how marketing will evolve in the following years. We expect to see an even quicker evolution in social media marketing, and perhaps new digital mediums will take over the current ones. Either way, the future of marketing is exciting, and we’re glad to be part of it!
