Marco DeMello, CEO of PSafe, tells us how they are dedicated to delivering innovative products that protect their clients’ freedom to safely connect, share, play, express, and explore online..
Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded PSafe.
Marco DeMello: I am the CEO and co-founder of PSafe and the President of the CyberLabs Group. I have more than 20 years of leadership in cybersecurity and significant experience with large companies in the segment. For ten years, I was Director of Windows Security at Microsoft, where I worked directly with Bill Gates. I was also responsible for the acquisition, security, and launch of Hotmail while I was the manager of communication systems at MSN.
PSafe, the largest privately-held cybersecurity company in Latin America, was founded in Brazil in 2010 with the goal of protecting mobile users from cyber attacks. With a decade in the B2C market, PSafe has more than 300 million installs of its dfndr security application worldwide and has established itself as a leading authority in the field of cybersecurity.
Since 2020 we have also grown into the Enterprise space when we launched our AI-powered dfdnr enterprise SaaS solution, protecting businesses from modern-day ransomware and zero-day attacks. This turn-key cybersecurity solution will soon enter the US market.
How does PSafe market its product/services online?
Marco DeMello: We develop easy-to-install solutions so that anyone can install and use them with ease. Both of our solutions are intuitive, and you don’t need to be from the technology area to use them.
Our key feature is predictive, proactive protection – we call it the 3Ps. We are able to deliver on that promise by relying on a very robust Artificial Intelligence cybersecurity engine that evolved over years of blocking hundreds of millions of attacks per month.
Our corporate solution, dfndr enterprise, offers full-time protection against ransomware, malware, phishing, data leaks, etc. The unique design principle for dfndr enterprise is that it was designed for companies that don’t have a dedicated cybersecurity team. It works automatically, without constant human oversight, and blocks attacks in real-time. For larger customers, we also offer ransomware infection insurance, included with our product.
With this, we were able to protect both business and consumer devices at the same high levels of detection and mitigation.
We use intelligence based on machine learning and deep learning that can identify and block any threat, including the newest and most sophisticated, in mere fractions of a second. Our AI is powered by a massive database of hacking techniques constantly being updated.
Basically, we’re in business to protect people and companies from scammers and cybercriminals!
How does your company market its product/services online?
Marco DeMello: Our solutions are available on the internet. dfndr security, in the app stores, and dfndr enterprise, as a SaaS.
Your final thoughts?
Marco DeMello: I want to thank you for the invitation and for being able to talk about cybersecurity.
Cybersecurity is truly an urgent issue: and it needs to be present in the daily life of every person and company, regardless of size, because today, we are all targets for cybercriminals.
