Connectivity for the Cashless Customer

Steve & Tina Higgins MobileWare

Steve Higgins & Tina Higgins of MobileWare tells us how they provide advanced end-to-end connectivity and IoT solutions for enterprises.

First of all, how are you and your family doing?

Tina Higgins: Thankfully, we are doing really well.

Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded MobileWare?

Steve Higgins: Graduate of the US Air Force Academy and managed a $250M communications weapon system program in the Air Force. After I left the AF, I went into Telecommunications with US West and was on a team that was tasked with solving connectivity challenges and reducing costs. I founded MobileWare in 2004 and focused on helping businesses save money on their wireless spending. After seeing the challenges of managing multiple carrier agreements and different carrier sim cards, I said there has to be an easier way and saw a need in the industry. We worked with partners and manufacturers to leverage our Single SIM™ solution, which provides connectivity on over 650 carriers around the world on one sim card and one bill for clients.

How does your company market its product/services online?

Tina Higgins: We leverage a marketing team to identify and market our unique solution to the various verticals that are heavily dependent on connectivity.

How has the coronavirus pandemic affected your business, and how did you get through it?

Steve Higgins: The pandemic proved to be a challenging time for everyone and every business. We were fortunate that we had moved to a remote workforce about 6 months before the pandemic arrived in the US. We did not have any disruption in our operations or workforce. In fact, we saw an opportunity to provide connectivity for remote learning to school districts across the country with our Single SIM™ solution. We provided over 100 M hours of remote learning for students during the pandemic.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to manage your online marketing?

Tina Higgins: Our marketing team utilizes several tools to track search engine rankings and monitor our website’s technical performance. For keyword tracking, our team is using SEObility. WooRank, SEMRush, and other tools are utilized to ensure that the site is technically compliant with Google’s ever-changing ranking algorithm.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Steve Higgins: Our key competitors are wireless carriers. We are excelling in our industry because of the enhanced value and multi-carrier connectivity solution we provide with simplicity in the complex connectivity landscape. In summary, we prevent downtime or lost connectivity for clients. Our clients never have to worry about losing connectivity if one of the major wireless carriers’ networks goes down or has issues. Our Single SIM™ will simply toggle over to the next carrier without missing a beat.
