Niklas Vesely of LabMeatNow.com tells us about their goal to protect animals by replacing animal meat with lab-grown meat, ultimately ending factory farming.
First of all, how are you and your family doing?
Niklas Vesely: We are doing good.
Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded LabMeatNow.
Niklas Vesely: I founded multiple companies from the skateboard brand Droshky which is today one of the most often sold skateboard deck brands in China, over the Data Analytics platform Listthe.com which was funded by the European government and which is now used by many of the world’s leading companies, to 2HEX.com skateboards manufacturing company, and finally LabMeatNow.com!
How does LabMeatNow market its product/services online?
Niklas Vesely: The key channel for Labmeatnow.com’s marketing is Google Banner Ads! The marketing channel is very product-specific; therefore, each of my company’s approaches leads in different ways.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how did you get through it?
Niklas Vesely: Lab Grown Meat is still in the early development phase and not dependent on a global supply chain or employees having to work on-site. We, therefore, luckily, did not feel any impact on LabMeatNow!
What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to manage your online marketing?
Niklas Vesely: Design software and Google Ads!
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Niklas Vesely: Factory farms are LabMeatNow’s major competitors. We want to encourage more startups to enter the field of lab grown meat. The competition will speed up the legislative approval of lab grown meat and broaden the toolkit necessary to grow meat without the use of fetal bovine serum and antibiotics.
Your final thoughts?
Niklas Vesely: As of right now, three times as many animals are held in factory farms as there are humans on earth. Each one of these animals has a character, feelings, and wants to experience and learn, like, for example, your dog at home. However, unlike your dog, their lives are full of mental and physical torture.
I founded LabMeatNow not because I wanted to start another company but because of the extremely slow speed at which current lab meat companies work. Lab meat is not something we have to make happen in 20 or 30 years. It is something we need now.
