Interview with Alex Borisov, Co-founder of Rocketech

Alex Borisov Rocketech

Alex Borisov, the co-founder of Rocketech, tells us how they specialize in analytics-driven web and mobile development.

First of all, how are you and your family doing?

Alex Borisov: I am doing well. Currently, I am located in Turkey, but I’ll be moving to Singapore, and part of the family will remain in Russia. In the current situation, everything is quite hard, but I think that my partner and our Ukrainian team members are much more in a dangerous position and we support and stand with them.

Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded Rocketech.

Alex Borisov: I have worked in various startups and companies. I had a career related to corporate gifts, and I have started to work there as a carrier. We’ve made devices for lucid dreams in one startup. Some events, productions, launching media, and different apps startups, at the same time I was studying at university.

About 6 years ago, I met Alexander by chance at one of the chat groups on telegram. So we started with some small projects. Afterward, they became bigger and bigger. I decided to leave all products and startups to focus only on Rocketech. We decided to open an HQ in Singapore since then, I have been running this business only full hand & full time.

How does Rocketech market its product/services online?

Alex Borisov: We are running all social networks, running up-to-date our website with the latest release that we do on a monthly basis, keep updating our blog, event & ratings participation, and doing great services that make the word of the month work for us. The last one is the biggest asset for every business and startup especially.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how did you get through it?

Alex Borisov: We grow rapidly. The IT industry was one of the beneficiaries of covid. So everyone understands that they need IT solutions and more efficiency in the business process. Startups see their big potential in launching unique SaaS themes, marketplaces, Educational products, Fintech, etc.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to manage your online marketing?

Alex Borisov: We are using almost all available tools on the market to make the best SEO, make excellent conversions in our requests, make funnels in CRM and advertising cabinets, and ent to ent analysis.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Alex Borisov: Our main competitor is in-house development. This competitor is powerful. We are rising in our quality and speed to market with all founders we are working with. We don’t raise our prices because we build strong operational businesses that will beat in-house even at scale. Basically, that’s our idea: startup building is two businesses inside one, and for growing up, you need a technology partner with whom you will build your next unicorn fast.

Your final thoughts?

Alex Borisov: Thanks for the opportunity and for designing this interview!

Founders, never give up on your startup no matter whom you are talking to. Best products have been built with a negative perspective from VCs and sometimes the market. Since this business is about searching, keep searching and changing, one time you will find oil or, like they say, market fit, and all VCs and everyone will be amazed at what you have done!
