Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded Verve Media.
Mayur Gole: I started my career with Aipex Worldwide and later moved to the role of Territory Key Account Manager and Customer Success Head at Invideo. There I was working closely with publishing houses like Republic, CNBC, and Moneycontrol.
I loved sharing my thoughts and new social media discoveries with my circle. Later, my interest in digital marketing inspired me to partner with my colleagues and set up Verve Media.
Do you have small habits that made a meaningful impact on your life and business?
Mayur Gole: The first thing I do after waking up is read for 30 mins. It really helps me calm my mind and start my day with a new set of targets. Apart from that, I plan my day on a calendar. Being an entrepreneur, the worst thing you can do is not plan your day.
I also believe that small, consistent changes can yield big results. So while this may sound mundane, being consistent with the small changes in life helps me handle big challenges at the workplace.
How does Verve Media market its product/services online?
Mayur Gole: We usually follow some basic rules:
● We keep ourselves updated with social media trends.
● We have structured teams that manage SEO, Ads, Films, Social Media, and Websites.
● We use referrals and word-of-mouth marketing to encourage our clients to spread the word about us.
What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to manage your online marketing?
Mayur Gole: Whether it’s creating hygiene content, launching a new campaign, or marketing a product, we swear by tools like Trello and Google Workspace to manage our daily activities. Additionally, drives, calendars, slides, and sites help us organize our tasks while creating an automated content distribution strategy that lets our team focus their time on the most important tasks.
How are you funding your growth?
Mayur Gole: Being a startup, we kicked off our journey with Bootstrapping, and it worked really well for us. All five partners at Verve came together to invest in their own expertise, experience, and finances into a product today, a mid-level integrated marketing agency based in Mumbai. With the right growth strategy and funding, we are also planning to expand Verve in Bengaluru in the upcoming years.

Mayur Gole: Although multiple stories come to my mind, one of the noteworthy ones is the Desjoyaux Pools case study. We bagged their social media mandate in 2017, and we have achieved 9X growth in Instagram followers and a 39% increase in organic traffic. Additionally, the brand was able to generate 20% more leads from the SEO activities undertaken. The client testified to a positive effect on their sales with our digital campaigns, which helped us effectively retain them so far.
